Meeting of the group of authors, coordinators on 'Legal provisions' under National Action Plan

The Indo-German Project “Human Wildlife Conflict Mitigation (HWC)” in India organised a one-day meeting on 30th September 2019 for group of authors and other experts working on the legal sections of the National action plan and SOPs to further consolidating the documents. The event was hosted at GIZ office in Delhi.

The meeting started with a welcome address by Dr Neeraj Khera. She spoke about the importance of legal provisions under the National Action Plan and the purpose of the meeting. This was followed by discussions on various legal aspects of the National Action Plan and SOPs. The event received inputs from Mr PC Tyagi (Principal Chief Conservator of Forest & Chief Wildlife Warden Tamil Nadu (Retd.)), Mr SK Khanduri (Inspector General of Forest Wildlife (Retd.), Mr N K Janoo (Chief Conservator of Forest Meerut, Uttar Pradesh Forest Department), Dr Aditi Sharma (Senior Veterinary Officer Rajaji Tiger Reserve), Dr Neeraj Khera (Team Leader, Human Wildlife Conflict Project, GIZ) and other experts from GIZ and Wildlife Institute of India.
