In continuation with the ongoing support by CMPA project to partner institutions in developing eLearning courses on coastal and marine issues, a workshop “Operationalizing eLearning platforms for offering courses on coastal and marine biodiversity for the Science and Media students”, was organized during April 26 – 27, 2017 at St Xavier’s College campus, Mumbai.

The workshop took a result-oriented approach, with the final outcome being “By the end of the workshop, the eLearning platforms for science and media students have been pilot tested, and are readily available to the participants”.

The participating faculty members from St Xavier’s College, and St Paul Institute of Communication Education finalized and tested the eLearning courses on coastal and marine biodiversity for Science students, and media students. There is also a special course developed “Green IT” for the IT students as a result of the workshop.

As a post-workshop measure, the eLearning courses are currently being fine-tuned and pilot tested by the partner institutions together with the eLearning experts, and will be available to the students by the end of May.
