The Indo-German Biodiversity Programme is working with its overarching goal of sustainable use of biological diversity to support livelihoods for future generations. The Programme addresses the challenges of biodiversity conservation in ten complementary areas:
For over 60 years, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH has been working jointly with partners in India for sustainable economic, ecological, and social development. Currently, GIZ India has over 400 employed in India, of whom 85 per cent are national personnel.
