An Operational Planning Workshop for Karnataka was organized at Bannerghatta National Park in Bangalore under the Indo-German Technical Cooperation on Human-Wildlife Conflict Mitigation project on March 20, 2018.
Sh. C. Jayaram, PCCF-Wildlife & Chief Wildlife Warden, Karnataka delivered the keynote address during the workshop, along with the addresses from Sh. Roy P Tomas Joint Director (WL), Dr. Konrad Uebelhoer, Programme Director of Indo-German Biodiversity Programme and Dr Neeraj Khera, Team Leader HWC Project GIZ.
The workshop was attended by key officials from the MoEFCC, Karnataka Forest Department, German Consulate in Bangalore, NGOs and wildlife expert.
The workshop resulted in finalization of the state level plan of operation for the next four years, and the ‘Kodagu Circle’ was finalized as project pilot site for implementing the project activities.
