As a part of Amity University activity, Amity Institute of Forest and Wildlife Sciences, Noida organised an “Online Alumni Lecture Series” from 4 to 9 May 2020. The series aimed at fostering professional networks between alumni, students and faculty and help students think about their transition after graduating. In this regard, Mr Vimarsh Sharma, Junior Technical Expert, Human Wildlife Conflict Mitigation Project, was invited to give the inaugural lecture on ‘International Development Sector and the Indo-German project on Human-Wildlife Conflict mitigation in India’. The event was hosted virtually on Microsoft Teams with 20 participants, including students from the outgoing batch pursuing M.Sc. in Wildlife Science, Faculties at Amity Institute of Forest and Wildlife Sciences and Alumni currently working at WWF India, WCS India and Dakshin Foundation. The lecture concluded with an interactive session and detailed discussion on Human-Wildlife Conflict Mitigation, the project approach and the work of the Indo-German project on Human-Wildlife Conflict mitigation in India.
