Wetlands Workshop

Himachal Pradesh State Council for Science, Technology & Environment (HIMCOSTE), in collaboration with the Himachal Pradesh Forest Department, Indo-German Biodiversity Programme, GIZ and Wetlands International – South Asia, organized a 2-days workshop on “Integrated Management of Wetlands in Himachal Pradesh” on 14-15 Sep,2017 in Shimla. The workshop was attended by over 50 participants, including the Additional Chief Secretary, Environment, Science & Technology, GoHP, PCCF, wetland managers and frontline staff at the three Ramsar sites (Pong, Renuka and Chandertal), Khajjiar and Rewalsar wetlands in the state, representatives from the Forest, Environment, Fisheries and Tourism departments, university and research institutions, State Pollution Control Board, NGOs, media and lawyers.
